Is owning a Buddha statue considered bad luck if you’re not Buddhist?

Im interested in Buddhism and last week I bought a happy Buddha statue. Since we have had it in the house though things keep going wrong. I think it is just coincidence myself, as im not supersticious, although my girlfriend is.

You know the answer already!It is just conincidence!If bad things are happening to you,my advice is to keep a low profile for the time being and also do more wholesome deeds such as meditation,reading dhamma books,associating with wise people,visit Buddhist temple and offer food and requisite to the monks.
